Say...look over there...I think it's the end of my rope...

Remind me again why I thought that getting a job was a good idea.    I suppose this job isn't really a destination job unless you've always dreamed of stuffing envelopes with large books and then folding them over and sticking as many of them as you can into a box.   I suspect that it's not anyone's dream to do this job.  That sticking labels on envelopes (and then jamming big books into them and folding them over and sticking as many of them as you can into a box) isn't anyone's bliss to be followed.  And that putting parent letters into envelopes (and then sticking labels on them and jamming big books into them and folding them over and sticking as many of them as you can into a box) hardly qualifies as truly challenging work.  Although the challenge Thursday and Friday was to keep from wringing the neck of the PTA lady who was in charge of everything and was a dumb as a box of rocks.

In addition to taking on a job ( a job that forces me to deal with my mother's snorts of derision since it's soooo below me...honestly, I haven't had a job in 8 years so nothing is below me...) we've also got the start of soccer for #2, preschool for #3, choir for #1 and swimming for all of them.   And the ridiculous committee I've been stuck on for the preschool is adding to my stress by expecting me to go and solicit donations for raffle prizes...I walked into a salon/spa/vanity ville place and got a very cold reception.  I suspect that my Miss Clairol hair and bushy eyebrows gave me away as being in the wrong place...oh and the t-shirt I was wearing that said "salons suck" probably didn't help.    Kidding, I'm kidding.  It said "les salons sont stupides".      No donation there.

Ugh! Raffle prizes. Blech! I suppose you'll then be asked to sell tickets for said raffle. Double-blech!

I'm glad you got a job. It sounds like a lot of work, and I'm sure it'll help pay for the lessons you'll be spending all your spare time carting the kids around to, but hey, it's the life of a mom. Hmmmm, I wonder if you're stuffing envelopes with books similar to those my kids are selling... lol.
